Manuel Nick

Biography

Manuel Nick founded MNB Nick Beteiligungen GmbH in 1999 and led the firm as CEO and Chief Investment Officer until his passing in 2025.

Over more than four decades in finance, Manuel built a career that spanned the leading investment banks of his generation — and a firm grounded in the conviction that institutional investors deserve best-in-class independent advice regardless of their size.

His vision, judgement, and personal commitment to clients remain the foundation on which MNB continues to operate.

Career

Manuel began his career at JP Morgan in 1985, moving to Merrill Lynch in 1987 — where he also held Series 3 and Series 7 licences from the SEC. He went on to hold senior structuring and sales roles at Salomon Brothers, Citibank, and RMF Investment Group, before founding MNB in 1999.

Across his career, Manuel led structuring and sales teams across multiple market cycles, building deep expertise in alternative investments and the institutional capital that funds them.
